Mark Stone and the Dirty Country Band

Mark Stone - Guitar and Vocals

Mark StoneMark grew up in the Twin City’s Music Scene.            He ran off at 17 to join a band with a Fake Id. Eventually coming back to finish school and graduate.

In the 90’s Mark Stone was in the band "Juggernaut" which was mildly successful and signed with Noise Records.  Just like all the other horror stories you hear the band  spontaneously combusted. Necessity breeds invention. After almost 10 years Mark was without a band or a writing partner, but there was no one to argue with.  The direction was solely his own. Mark Stone could make music that he felt in his soul.

Mark Stone and the Dirty Country Band was born. It couldn't just be called Mark Stone there were already published musicians with works under their belt of the same name. Mark eventually wanted this project to be a band but he figured if he made the music he could attract the players that identified with the vision they heard.

Mark Stone=Mad Scientist and the DIRTY=Grunge influence of the past Country=influence of the present Band=Goal of like minded musicians with Todd Jameson on the Bass/Vocals, and Nick Danger on Drums.

Their music has been described as  country music's next sub-genre "Head-Banging Country" or What a Honky Tonk Bar Brawl Between the Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Alice in Chains would sound like. We just call it Country and Midwestern Rock
